    a) Jacket - Isolation will be in an airconditioned setting :)
    b) Indemnity forms (available for download) - otherwise charged at $1 per copy during registration
    c) some form of identification so that it is easier for us to register you :)
    d) Registration fees.. (only cash and cheques will be accepted)

  3. Isolation timings have been updated.
Please note that registration for each category will start an hour before isolation closes

  4. For those participating in the team categories,

PLEASE MAKE SURE TO REGISTER WITH YOUR TEAM NAME. The registration page recognises your IC number, so reregistration is not possible unless the administrator makes some amendments to it.

Also, note that each team will be awarded with a Trump card for the Team event.
Details will be released by chief judge during isolation.

Those who need help with registration may email me at suhui@live.com.sg

due to the number of emails i’m getting, i apologise for any delay in getting back to you - rest assured that i will try and answer your queries asap :)

  5. For those participating in the under 16 categories,

there will be NO finals held for the under 16 category.

Under 16 category participants will be ranked by their scores during the qualifying round. Prize Presentation will still be held on the last day with the rest of the competing events..

  6. the following categories are closed due to overwhelming response…
    Under 16 (men)
    Novice (men)
    Intermediate (men)

    Open (men)

  7. Known Issues with the registration page:

there was a slight problem with the registration system just now (8th march about 9pm to 12midnight).. but its okay now! everything is up and running smoothly. :)
we have also just fixed the bug for those getting the error message that novice is closed when they sign up for novice female (13th March 12midnight)

As there have been many amendments made to the back end of the registration page to take care of the additional places/closing of categories, we would really really really appreciate if you guys can let us know if
    a) you see an irrelevant error message (eg you sign up for NOVICE female and you get the error message for Novice Male) or
    b) if you are unable to register for a category that is not closed yet. (full list of categories that have stopped accepting new registrations will be updated regularly above)
we will try to take care of such issues ASAP.
Thank you all for your understanding

  1. hello. Are the places for novice men really full already?

  2. we just opened more places.. go sign up!

  3. helloo…are slots for novice women close?

  4. There are still open slots for novice women.

  5. Hi Rachel, sorry but the slots for Novice Men are currently full.

  6. I have watched the actions today live for 3.5 hours today 1.30 to 5pm. I do have some valuable feedbacks.

1.) Condoned area for officials only should probably be marked out more clearly to prevent over enthusiastic fans crowding out the officials.
2.) Rock walls should be more spaced out in a sense, the route 3 and route 4 of the mens route somehow seems to clash when legs can be seen crossing over into each other’s path.
3.) I spotted 1 incident in the first few contestants in the under 16 women whereby 1 participant should have been disqualified for crossing over the official climb route (the side of the walls). Instructions should have been clearer.
4.) The switch over time leaves zero preparation time for the next in line to move up to the wall (the 3 minutes timer ticks once the whistle sounds)
5.) Last and not least, the amount of mats for safety purpose is definitely not enough. This can be clearly seen at the area of the women’s third and fourth route.
If any dare devil is going to leap for the last boulder in the 3rd route and miss, she is definitely going to fly out of the mat. Officials below could have help the break-fall, but i suspect the official would probably be flatten then save the falling party
The women’s fourth route involves an underhang that will probably swing them out when they try and go for the boulder coming out of the under-cling. The mats are not far out enough to prevent that from happening.
Till the time I left, at least I am relieved that no 1 flys out of the 4th route, but I did see 2 ladies trying to jump for the last boulder in the 3rd route but was relieved that the timer-up whistle was blown before they could even make any attempts.

My emphasis on all sporting events is that, safety is always first.

    My 2cents,
    Gladius

  7. Hi Gladius, Thank you for your valuable feedback. We have noted your points and will certainly share with the rest of the climbers during our post event review. Cheers!
